An eight-year old girl presented with increased growth of hairs, on the anterior aspect of neck, present since birth. Family history was non-contributory. There were no neurological complaints. Cutaneous examination revealed localized tuft of hair over the laryngeal prominence [Figure 1].There was no hypertrichosis or any other anomaly in other parts of the body. A diagnosis of anterior cervical hypertrichosis was done. Laser epilation was offered, but the parents refused.{Figure 1}

Anterior cervical hypertrichosis is an uncommon variant of primary localized hypertrichosis.[1],[2]Commonest accompanying anomaly is peripheral neuropathy.[3] Active non-intervention with periodic follow-up is the best therapy.
